ABOUT RECOGNITION & SAVVY

Maybe you can recognise something like this: your whole life, you have been doing things for the sake of others, or just because you’re good at it. Well then, I start off by presenting you first a man, that during World War II painted a lot of Louvain’s history. During my childhood, that man and painter-artist was the man next door. I can’t remember him. He already passed away, But his wife was our neighbour and usually daily, it was that, when we heard a bang on the wall, my mum would tell me “ Anne, go and have a look next door and see with what you can help her”. I remembered well, I would enter the house next door and most of the time I would recognise these paintings all over the house. Now with my 68 years living, coping, puffin and working my ass off , but also a fan with a heart for art and creation it is time to do something about this. Meaning I moved a lot in my life and one of those things that followed each time were the paintings of Louis Beelen.
